Introducing UCP Monitoring: Status, Uptime, Score & Alerts in One Dashboard

Every check we've ever run answers the same question at a single moment in time: can an agent buy from this store right now? Two million-plus checks later, the pattern is unmissable — the answer changes. Manifests break on deploys. Signing keys vanish. Capabilities appear and disappear. A store that was agent-ready on Monday quietly isn't on Thursday, and nobody notices until an agent hits the wall.

A snapshot can't catch that. A monitor can. And the stakes rise monthly: UCP-powered checkout keeps rolling out to new surfaces, new countries and whole new categories — the moment your manifest breaks is increasingly the moment buying stops.

Today we're opening early access to the UCP Checker monitoring dashboard at app.ucpchecker.com — the biggest thing we've shipped since the checker itself, and the start of UCP monitoring as one thing instead of five. It takes everything the free check tells you once and turns it into something that watches your business every day, knows the moment something breaks, and shows you exactly how you benchmark against the businesses on your watchlist.

From a check to a watch

The free check isn't going anywhere — it's still the fastest way to see whether a domain speaks UCP, and it still requires no account. The dashboard is what comes after: you add your business, prove you own it, and from that point we re-check it every 24 hours and keep score.

Your overview brings together what used to take five separate lookups:

  • Your UCP Score and grade, with a trend chart across score, status, response time and capabilities — so a regression shows up as a line bending, not a support ticket
  • Your manifest and llms.txt, rendered the way an agent reads them
  • Capabilities, payment handlers and the vendor extensions you declare, each checked against the spec's namespace-governance rules
  • Every check we've run, with score, status and latency per spec version

Conformance is uptime now. The dashboard treats it that way.

Prove it's yours

Adding a domain to a watchlist is open to anyone — that's public data. Deep monitoring of your own business requires proving you control it, the same way you prove a domain to Google Search Console: we give you a one-line DNS TXT record, you publish it, you click verify.

Verification is what separates observation from ownership. A verified business unlocks the full console — and your live badges: the status badge and the SSL-Labs-style score badge, both rendered fresh from our latest check, with copy-paste embed snippets for your README or footer. When your result changes, the badge changes. No screenshots to keep honest.

Staging, before your customers find out

The dashboard also watches a staging endpoint alongside your live domain — a subdomain that inherits your DNS verification, so there's nothing extra to prove.

Staging monitoring is private by design: your pre-production endpoint never appears in the public directory, stats or anywhere else. What you get is the comparison that matters — if staging is two spec versions behind live, or declares a capability live doesn't, you see the drift before it ships, not after an agent does.

Your watchlist, benchmarked daily

This is the part only an independent can build. Add up to four other businesses — the ones you compete with, the ones you admire, the ones your buyers compare you against — and see the whole field side by side: scores, grades, capabilities, verification status, and every daily change.

When a business on your watchlist gains a capability or its score moves, that's in your dashboard the next morning. Platform dashboards can tell you how you're performing on that platform's own surfaces — useful, but it's their yardstick, on their turf. We measure the protocol itself: every business, the same way, every day — across 13,000+ monitored businesses, 11,000+ of them verified, and growing daily.

UCP status, uptime, score and alerts — one dashboard

Since Jan the pieces lived apart. UCP Status told you whether a manifest resolves. The UCP Score graded how well it conforms. UCP alerts emailed you when a status flipped. And UCP uptime was something you inferred by re-running checks and squinting.

The monitoring dashboard is where they converge: one place that treats your manifest like production infrastructure. Your UCP uptime record builds from the daily checks. Your UCP status and UCP Score trend on the same chart. Alerts fire from the same heartbeat. One UCP dashboard, one daily re-check, every signal.

Bring your team

A dashboard nobody else can see is a report. Workspaces support teams from day one: invite teammates by email, owners manage the workspace, members get read access to all of it. The workspace carries your business's name, not another login to explain.

Early access — and what free means

We're opening the dashboard as an invite-gated beta. Sign up and you'll go straight in if you've been invited; otherwise you join the waitlist and we email your invite as we onboard the next batch. Small batches, on purpose — we're dogfooding this on ucpchecker.com itself and shaping it with the first users.

While the spec is young and moving fast, we're bundling as much as we can into the free package. Paid tiers will likely come as the ecosystem's demands settle — but workspaces created during the beta keep their free access. Early is the best deal this will ever be.

The checker tells you where you stand today. The dashboard makes sure you never lose that standing without knowing. Everything else you already use is still here:
